A faith dream vs an unrealistic dream

Today is my 4th-5th visit to UWC.. indeed along the visits, GOd has really changed my plans along the way.. Man plans the course but the Lord determines the steps to take. The first few visits were realli knowing better the struggles that Kai has in planting the cell.. which we have planned for more than a year ago.. True enough for children it's really hard to gain respect frm their peers.. ha.. they really dun listen to him speak.. and find meeting him a waste of time. When he specially asked one of them to meet.. his friend was perplexed "Isn't there school? Don't we meet usually?"

Then came another character Hiromi.. whom we tot God led us to meet .. He is another japanese from FCBC.. well.. my hopes were high.. till after a few visits, i realise that not all kids are like Kai.. and indeed in Kai, i found a willing servant of GOd. AT times, i really wonder if Kai truly know what he was into.. or was it a kid's thing to just be excited about stuff.. but upon coming in contact with more children and thru' the struggles that he face and choose to move on.. i really realise that i shouldn't look down on him becos' he was young.

In the few visits of gg down.. i have been just gg down there, looking at the pple, not exactly doing anything but mtg kai.. saying Hi to some of the children.. but the key qn that the Lord asked was... as u look at tis pple, do u have compassion for them.. and i know faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.. Yes.. i do not see anything with my physical eyes.. but i do have a hope.. to see God's work done here.. And even if at the end.. what i want to be done is not done.. it doesn't matter.. just take it tat i have spent time with Kai, discipling him and even spending time with my sis and mum who works there.. Weekly, apart from physical tiredness, i go there with joy.. it feels like walking on water.. jus g forth and walkiing in faith in the midst of uncertainity.. so mayn times, we as humans, lean on our own understanding of things.. hmm.. walking in faith is fun too..

Two weeks ago, i remember going.. and deciding in my heart that i should start doing what the children do..

Me: Kai.. what do u all usu do during breaks?
Kai: hmmm.. we play gladiators..
Me: Oh.. really? What is that.. and what do we require to play it? what attire?
Kai: well.. it's sth like catching..u just need speed and we use a springy to catch the next catcher..
Me: Ok.. we should start with what the pple do in order to win them.. quote" to win the jews, be like the jews..to win the children.. well do what they do" ( though in my heart i was tinking.. at my age is there much speed left-of course.. i put on a front and kai neva knew this)

sis: Gladiators?? Don't get caught by the teachers..
me: ha... if i am caught./. i will just report yours and mummy's name...

The next week... i was spared of Gladiators.. cos Kai sprained his leg.. however God showed me to two other people not initially in the plan of outreach.. so we decided to reach out to the "less active" ones... Ha.. God knows how much we can take man...ha.. So tis change of plan brought us to the idea of doing a series of word which we have planned in Nov last year.. it is based on the armour of God and in the beauty of God's plan.. the end of the word sessions actually falls in place with the Good friday harvet date. @ Amazing race.. not knowing how to tell the kids why we are mtg.. we finally did squeeze out sth to tell em..

Kai: Do you guys watch amazing race?
The children got excited..
Me: we are setting up tis team to join tis race.. but i need to meet u all every thurs.. so we can be familiar with each other..
*accompanied by Kai's acting.. he said " yes.. tis stranger here.. to know her better"
the children: can i have more phamplets to invite my friends?? what about asking the whole class???

Haha....well indeed our plans kept on evolving.. but i believe at the end.. His name will be glorified... and i got to know how to lead children's cell beta"
1) much time out of the hour is spent seeing them settlt down (love is patient) (acc to kai, patience is the key to paradise)
2) Got to use bribes- BBQ ruffles.. a special request by one of them for next week
3) interesting activities..

Another dream i had was to set up an CCA build a base in UWC.. ha.. got to think of an idea and write a proposal.. =) any ideas... do let me know...

SO exciting...

Kai: "... well all i can do is pray... well... almost..."-(his lst words.. muhahaha)
