Title: A Christian's DefenseAuthor: Warren Wiersbe
Read Psalm 26:1-12
Have you ever been blamed for something you didn't do? Leaders often are blamed falsely. The Israelites blamed Moses for lack of water, bitter water, enemies' attacks and lack of food. In this psalm, David is falsely accused, so he takes four steps to deal with his slanderers.
Step 1: An honest examination (vv. 1-3). Human nature does not want to admit it's wrong, but we need to examine ourselves. David walked in integrity. Integrity means "wholeness of character." He also walked in faith, without wavering. We find David open before God, walking in the light and letting God examine him. We would save ourselves a lot of trouble if we would let Him examine us. He wants to teach us what we are really like. If we are right before God, it makes no difference what people say.
Step 2: A holy separation (vv. 4,5). People accused David of being a hypocrite, even though he did not worship false gods. We must obey the biblical doctrine of holy separation (II Cor. 6:14-18).
Step 3: A happy celebration (vv. 6-8). David washed his hands in innocence. He was cleansed by water and blood. He was concerned about praising, loving and glorifying God. Just as Jesus sang before His crucifixion, David sang songs of praise around the altar, the place of sacrifice. Do we sing songs of praise when we have to make sacrifices?
Step 4: A humble determination? (vv. 9-12). David said, "As for me, I will walk in my integrity." When a person has integrity, he has a great defense, a great shield. Character is a marvelous shield against the accusations of men. A good conscience gives us courage in times of difficulty.
The Christian's defense is the grace of God, His Word and His truth. Because of this, we're able to walk. David's foot stood in an even place. He was not standing alone--he was in the congregation. Let's take the same steps David took the next time someone slanders us.
People can hurt you with false accusations, but you need not let slanderers defeat you. If you walk with integrity, your character will shield you. Keep yourself pure and avoid compromising situations. When someone slanders you, God's grace, His Word and His truth will protect you.
Through the years.. GOd has often moulded me in the area of handling accusations, gossips, slanders, misunderstanding from pple. Often i remind myself that the greatest weapon towards accusations is humility. The need to identify the half truth and to be humble to acknowledge but the half lie that distorts our identity in Christ, we have to reject it.
Thank you father that in all i do, it is not to please or to prove but it's simply to walk in Your will and be Your light. Thank you that you already well-pleased with me and my proof of my ability was when i recieve you as My Lord and Saviour and what i ever need to prove, you have already proven it on the cross for me. |

| balloons blessing |
Payed a visit to mich for CNY.. Meeting her always brings back lotsa memories of old cell time.. It was a good time of catch up.. Though certain things aren't the same, but i am always grateful for the season that she has just allowed herself to be used by God to be sich a blessing especially in disciplining me out of love.
Glad to see her a happy mummy now..
This was our attempt to stack 6 oranges.. took it just before it collapses.. =)
 My friends who are still close to my heart! Most girls don't like to stand in front to take photos.. hah.. so i am the sacrifice. =(
Went to My fav hangout, Essentials  after visitation.. even though it was for an hour before it close, really enjoyed the time of solitude. then someone came along to give me these balloons from another person's birthday celebration. It's God's blessing to me. Ballons are really something significant between Him and me. Something that we communicate to each other with. =)

| Birthday with my spiritual family... |
It's a happy day and i thank God for the family! Today, my family celebrated my birthday for me.. Just a week ago, my ah ma was saying that she would get "yu sheng" for the celebration.. ha.. and i mentioned (jokingly) that every year it was yu sheng cos my birthday is the neighbour of CNY. Guess what?? This year i got a cake.. ha.. I remember last year, after we all ate the yu sheng that ah ma remembered that they forgot to sing a song and yes.. ha.. the family was saying that this year, they will make sure nothing goes wrong.. yup, so i finally this year, i got my card (an extra special meh meh one- according to ah ma, gift (which was a shirt i chose for myself half year ago-hopefully still can fit, song and cake.)
But the higlight was really after they sang the song that they start fitting in blessings into the song "May the good Lord bless you_____" . ALl my sisters and my ah ma gave words of blessing.. and even though i dun look really touched, i was really touched.

Some glass painting i did.. i think from what one person draws, one can tell what her personality.. hah.. but not totally true 'cos in my case, these are what i am capable of drawing. But this what my world is like.. filled with surprises and wonder of a child. I always see myself as a child of God anticipating his wonders and more of Him.

| A step closer to being more savvy.. |
Surprise surprise... Can't believe that i actually changed the blog skin.. wow.. it sure feels different.. am a little more motivated to post stuff.. =)
This skin caught my eyes, 'cos of the rainbow which reminds me of the covenant God made with Noah. The big bear is like my papa in heaven and the smaller one is like me.. It is also a reminder to always view situations thru' the eyes of a child, to have that childlike faith. Not just that.. it is my fav colour-GREEN! =P
Pray for my daughters that they will always walk hand in hand with papa in heaven and to have a simple and childlike faith. For we who are like the little children will enter the kingdom of God and recieve all that You have installed for us. |
